Bishop Quinn is asking parishes and parishioners throughout the Diocese to join him in a day of prayer and fasting during these turbulent times.
From Bishop Quinn's pastoral letter:
"There is so much division and polarization among us as citizens and there is growing violence and racial hatred acted out every day. The only cure is prayer, because the human heart is made for God, and not for racism, violence and division.
Fasting is an important way to allow the grace of conversion to work in our lives by abstaining from food, shopping, criticism, overwork, and even social media, so that we can hunger for God. If a person is in bad health or advanced age, they are encouraged to pray but not engage in fasting practices that might affect their health and well-being."
Please join us in a day of Prayer and Fasting - Adoration: 830-930am and Divine Mercy Chaplet : 3:00-3:15 pm.
